The Steelers should be happy with their quarterback situation for the 2026 season, as veteran Aaron Rodgers is sitting at the top of the depth chart.
But, since this is Rodgers' final year with the franchise, the Steelers have to focus on finding their quarterback of the future. Perhaps that's one reason why they have so many signal-callers on their roster.
Right now, the Steelers have four quarterbacks on their depth chart, and keeping all four ahead of the regular season could create a roster issue.

"Mason Rudolph seemingly solidified his spot as QB2 without playing a snap as Will Howard struggled, and rookie Drew Allar failed to replicate his explosive preseason debut," Pryor wrote.
"Unless the Steelers try to sneak Howard through on the practice squad, it seems more and more likely that they'll keep four quarterbacks, and that would mean numbers have to be reduced somewhere else on the roster."
Pryor points out that two groups to keep an eye on are the "offensive linemen and safeties because of the position flexibility of veterans such as Brock Hoffman and Jalen Ramsey."
So, if the Steelers want to keep four quarterbacks, that's their prerogative. But they'll have to tweak other areas of the roster in order to make it work.
