Steelers' returning fan-favorite LB has new jersey number revealed

A beloved fan-favorite linebacker returned to the Pittsburgh Steelers this past week, but he's embracing a brand-new jersey number with the Steel City brand of football.

According to ESPN's Brooke Pryor, returning Steelers linebacker Elandon Roberts is set to switch numbers from No. 50 to No. 57.

Roberts, who was drafted by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, played four seasons in New England before joining the Miami Dolphins (2020-2022), the Steelers (2023-2024), and the Las Vegas Raiders (2025).

Pittsburgh is no doubt looking to welcome back the veteran linebacker with open arms, as Roberts also gets to reunite with his former Raiders coach and current Steelers defensive coordinator, Patrick Graham.

Roberts, one of the league's top run defenders, joins a linebacker group featuring Payton Wilson, Patrick Queen, Cole Holcomb, and Malik Harrison, with the latter likely on the roster bubble following the new signing.
