Tayven Jackson's journey is bringing him back to Indiana, at least for one afternoon.

The Center Grove High School star and former Hoosiers player has been named North Texas' starting quarterback. And where do the Mean Green begin the 2026 season? In Bloomington, against IU.

Jackson played little at Tennessee in 2022 and appeared in 13 games for the Hoosiers in 2023-24, completing 61.2% of his passes with 6 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.

Jackson started in 2025 at UCF, completing 63.5% of his passes for 2,151 yards, 10 TDs and 8 INTs as the Knights went 5-7.

In high school, he passed for 4,813 yards and 47 touchdowns from 2018-21, leading the Trojans' undefeated Class 6A championship team.

Is Tayven Jackson, Trayce Jackson-Davis' brother?

Yes. Trayce Jackson-Davis, the 2019 Indiana Mr. Basketball for Center Grove, is entering his fourth NBA season with the Toronto Raptors.
