Tennessee basketball announces jersey patch partnership

Tennessee's athletic department announced a landmark partnership with Knoxville-based Axle Logistics as its first official jersey patch partner for men's and women's basketball.

Under a five-year agreement, Axle Logistics will be featured on the Vols' and Lady Vols' jerseys.

Founded by Tennessee alumni, Axle Logistics has grown into one of the largest employers of University of Tennessee graduates, playing a role in supporting the university's alumni network and strengthening ties within the Knoxville community. The partnership goes beyond a traditional sponsorship, featuring a substantial investment in student-athlete influencer marketing initiatives, allowing to build personal brands, expanding professional networks and gaining valuable hands-on experience in the realms of marketing and business development.

Axle Logistics is a non-asset based, third-party logistics company with a focus on facilitating advanced logistics - Truckload, LTL, Intermodal and Warehousing - a wide variety of customers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

"From the onset of our journey to find the right partner in this evolving landscape, it was essential that we align with an organization that not only leads its field, but also embodies innovation, integrity and a commitment to community," Tennessee vice chancellor and director of athletics Danny White said. "We found all of that in Axle Logistics.

Their investments in technology and their dedication to supporting both employees and the broader community make them an ideal partner collaborator for Tennessee Athletics."

Tennessee Athletics has named Knoxville-based @AxleLogistics as its first official jersey patch sponsor.

The five-year agreement will see the alumni-founded company featured prominently on uniforms for @Vol_Hoops and @LadyVol_Hoops.
