However, over the past eight months, they have been the focus of a dedicated crew filming a docuseries that promises to shed light on the inner workings of the Red Raiders. Titled "The Program: Texas Tech," the series is set to debut on Paramount+ on September 4, 2026, just a day before the Red Raiders kick off their season against Abilene Christian at Galaxy Stadium.
As excitement builds for the release, players are sharing their anticipation. Running back Cameron Dickey expressed his eagerness, stating, "I’ve seen a few of the trailers. As soon as the trailer came out, goosebumps just flooded, and I’m so excited to see it." The docuseries, which consists of four parts, aims to give fans an unprecedented look into the team’s journey during a pivotal offseason.
Directed by Micah Brown, the production has been in the works since January, capturing the team's dynamics and challenges. Center Sheridan Wilson reflected on the experience, noting, "It was definitely a neat experience. It was a little awkward at times, because you’re not really used to having a camera in your face all the time. But it was definitely a cool experience and I can’t wait to watch it." The filming has provided a unique perspective on the team, particularly during a tumultuous period marked by the departure of expected starting quarterback Brendan Sorsby, who left the program in April to seek treatment for a gambling addiction.

McGuire has praised the partnership with Paramount+, stating, "It’s been awesome. We get to preview a lot of stuff. They’ve been a great partner, and some of it’s painful to relive, but I think our fans and the rest of the country are going to really enjoy it." He emphasized that the series will reveal a more personal side of him, showcasing his lighter moments outside of the competitive environment while also highlighting the intensity he expects during games.
