That was the UEFA Super Cup in Salzburg!PSG take European title in our Arena

After countless hours of intensive preparation by an entire city, our Red Bull Arena featured at the very heart of European football – as the day of the UEFA Super Cup had arrived: The evening of 12 August will forever be part of our stadium's history. At the first European final in Austria since EURO 2008, almost 30,000 fans saw the spectacle in the stadium, along with tens of millions more around the world.

In the end, the spectators were treated to an enthralling encounter: UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain prevailed in a thrilling match against UEFA Europa League title holders Aston Villa. Fittingly for this evening, the goals were scored by some of the biggest names of the French star-studded team. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the 20th minute, before Desire Doue (61') sealed the victory after Brian Madjo's equalizer (45').
