The EuroLeague is preparing for a significant format change, with the current 20-team round-robin system expected to be used for the final time in the 2026-27 season. Armani Olimpia Milan general manager Christos Stavropoulos revealed the plans during an appearance on EOK's WEB Radio, saying the competition intends to expand and introduce conferences starting the following season. "We have made the decision with 20 teams and the round-robin system for one year," Stavropoulos said. "However, this year we renewed it for another year, but this will definitely be the last.”
