Sunrisers Leeds, previously the Northern Superchargers, have made it to their second consecutive final in the Women’s Hundred. They will look to defend their title against the Trent Rockets, who have made it to the final for the first time in six editions.
The Rockets have been in terrific form this season. They won their last six matches and finished with seven wins in eight games to top the table. The Sunrisers also won their last five matches and are coming off a five-wicket win over Southern Brave in the Eliminator. The finalists played out a thriller when they earlier met in the tournament, with the Rockets winning by five runs, defending 139.
Trent Rockets Men aren’t behind either, as the franchise aims to do the double this year. They had won the 2022 edition and were runners-up last year, losing to Oval Invincibles (now MI London) in the final. They will face Manchester Super Giants in the final, who defeated Sunrisers Leeds in a high-scoring Eliminator by 20 runs.
Trent Rockets topped the points table in the Men’s Hundred, with six wins in eight matches to qualify directly for the final. They were also on a six-match winning streak before losing their final league stage clash. The Super Giants finished second with five wins but have won their last four matches.
The Women’s Hundred final is scheduled to get underway at 2.15pm local time (6.45pm IST), while the men’s final will commence at 6pm local time (10.30pm IST).
