Watching Ravens training camp, tight end is quickly becoming one of my bigger concerns with this offense.
Mark Andrews simply hasn’t impressed me so far. There have been too many quiet stretches and miscues for a player Baltimore is counting on to remain a major part of the passing game. Recent reports have also pointed to Andrews having a shaky camp, which lines up with what I’ve seen.
The bigger issue is that nobody behind him has really wowed me, either. Baltimore lost Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar in free agency, leaving Andrews as the unquestioned veteran atop a young and largely unproven room.
There have been some flashes from the younger options, but I haven’t seen enough consistency from anyone in this group to feel comfortable yet.
It’s only training camp, and there’s plenty of time for that to change. But right now, tight end looks like a legitimate concern for the Ravens.
