Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh recently addressed his family’s move to Tennessee, as well as his kids’ blossoming football careers.
Speaking to Peter Schrager, Saleh discussed the challenges of moving towns and what it’s like for him and his wife, Sanaa, to have eight kids.
“I have a philosophy that we rip the band-aid off,” Saleh said. “So I got my family here in April. Pulled them out of school, got them in school here, so that way they can meet some friends and have some people in the summer.
“My oldest is going into high school for the first time. They all play football. They’re doing a great job. My wife, I mean she drove an hour for girls soccer and now she’s got another hour drive for basketball. God bless her, man.
“She’s a saint, heart of gold, soft as bread pudding but boy that hammer comes down and those kids are…they are in line.”
Salah and Sanaa got married in 2007.
Robert Saleh On Parenting 8 KidsOn the “Pardon My Take” podcast in July, Robert Saleh spoke about his kids and joked that having so many helps.
“I need water. Kid comes, brings it to me. I’m not moving at all. My kids. I mean, we raise them. We pay for everything. The least they can do is get up and get us,” Saleh joked, also saying, “I got cheap labor.”
“There’s two things I always tell people. One, the good Lord will never put you in a position you can’t handle, and two, you’ll never find a set of parents that wish they had fewer kids.”
Saleh will shift his focus to the field next as the Titans continue their preseason with a clash against the Seahawks on Sunday.
