Three New Orleans Pelicans Among Top 100 Rated in NBA 2k27

The New Orleans Pelicans aren't considered to have one of the top rosters in the NBA, but they do have a couple of players who are considered very talented.

The brand new installment of the year video game series, "NBA 2k27," is releasing soon. To promote it, the game is releasing the top 100 rated players in the game. While this doesn't have any impact on real life, it does serve as a look into how these players are viewed by the general public.

Three separate Pelicans stars made it into the top 100, here is who got the nod:

Murray still being a top 100 player makes sense, as he is still very respected despite playing in just 45 games combined over the last two years because of an Achilles injury shortly after his first season on the team.

The 29-year-old, soon-to-be 30, looked good in his 14-game return to action at the end of last season. It wasn't a fantastic chance to see him in a large role, as he had staggered minutes and missed back-to-backs, but it was as promising as could be. If he can co-exist with Jeremiah Fears emerging as their star, New Orleans could have a suprising back court.

Williamson has had a rocky few years, though last season was easily his most promising in a long time, and he is still viewed as one of the most talented players in basketball. At any given moment, he can be the best player on the court; it's just about him putting it together over long stretches.

The 26-year-old is still incredibly efficient at the rim and has to have near maximum athletic attributes. It would take a really bad year for him to go much lower, despite just aging. He's been working on extending his offensive game this offseason, though, so he might actually rise throughout the campaign if that gets applied.

Murphy is another rising star, who also makes sense as being highly rated. Like Williamson, Murphy has great athletic attributes and is a highlight-reel dunker. He also is one of the best three-point shooting wings in the NBA, so his shooting skills are also going to be impressive in the game.

The 26-year-old is making a claim on being the team's star. He was already the best player last season and has done a lot of work this offseason. It will be excited to revisit where he is when the campaign ends.
