Titans defeat Seahawks: Who was preseason Week 2 player of the game?

The Tennessee Titans defeated the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in their 2nd preseason game 19-16. Their starting offensive and defensive units didn't show much to get excited about, but their player of the game was a familiar face from their first preseason game.

Joey Slye continued his strong performance from week 1 of the preseason with another 50-plus yard field goal to begin the scoring for the Titans. After making three kicks from 50-plus yards (53, 55, 58) against the 49ers last week, he nailed a 55-yard field goal to open their scoring against the Seahawks. In total, he made four field goals against the Seahawks (the same amount he made against the 49ers), making him 8-8 on kicks throughout the first two preseason games.

The rookie second-round draft pick out of Texas grabbed the defense's first turnover of the preseason with an interception late in the third quarter, which led to a Joey Slye field goal. He also forced a sack by getting to Seahawks QB Jalen Milroe first before DE Truman Jones completed the play on a third down early in the fourth quarter. He led the team in tackles (7) to go along with his interception (also recorded as a pass defended).

The Titans will finish their preseason slate this Saturday, August 29, when the Chicago Bears come to Nashville for a 5:00 PM CST kickoff. The regular season is under three weeks away.
