Instead of showing up, the Tennessee Titans No. 1 defense was showed up by the Seattle Seahawks' backup offense in the two teams' preseason game on Aug. 23 at Nissan Stadium.
Seattle compiled long drives on its first two possessions, capped by touchdowns on explosive plays.
The mistakes were all across the board for the Titans' starting defense.
The Seahawks capped its opening drive with a 36-yard touchdown pass from Drew Lock to Elijah Arroyo after a coverage bust from the Titans secondary.
Kevin Winston and Alontae Taylor each ran toward a receiver closer to the line of scrimmage, leaving Amani Hooker to scramble unsuccessfully over the top in a futile attempt.

The second series featured a 69-yard touchdown run by Seahawks reserve running back Jacardia Wright, untouched through the middle of the defense.

Wright was listed as the Seahawks' fourth-string running back on the team's latest depth chart.
To their credit, the Titans' No. 1 defense did get a quick stop after a turnover-on-downs in Tennessee territory, forcing a field goal attempt.
But the overall numbers across the three series were not good — 15 plays, 164 yards allowed, seven first downs, 16 points allowed.
