We’ve hit Week 0 which means we have one week until Syracuse Football is back in action. This week we had our poll question focus on the pass rush.
We wanted to know which player you thought would lead the Orange in sacks in 2026 and in a close vote Tunmise Adeleye edged out Keyshawn Johnson and Jamie Tremble. Adeleye who emerged for UNLV last year brings size and experience as he heads into his 6th year of college football. Syracuse is counting on him to bring pressure from the defensive end spot this fall.
Johnson was a standout at the FCS level and there’s some question about his ability to jump up to the ACC. Tremble’s shown an ability to get to the backfield as well, but last year he was in a reserve role. We’ll see how they are slotted in this season.
Whoever is coming after the quarterback this fall, the Orange need to do a better job of getting the pass rush home and creating more negative plays.
