Tottenham Hotspur have rejected a season-long loan offer from Sunderland for defender Kevin Danso.
The Austria centre-back made his first appearance of the season in Wednesday's Carabao Cup win over Charlton, coming on as a second-half substitute.
But Danso's first-team chances are likely to be limited this season after the signings of central defenders Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke, while Micky van de Ven has signed a new contract and been named captain.
It now remains to be seen whether Sunderland continue their interest in the 27-year-old, who has made 37 appearances for Spurs.
Danso was signed on loan from Lens in January 2025 and the deal was made permanent later that year with Spurs paying the French club £20.9m.
