Despite the team's defensive success, Walker's contributions were limited due to injuries. Although he appeared in 14 games, he played only 47% of the defensive snaps. His performance was hampered by a wrist injury sustained in Week 4 and a knee injury in Week 11, which significantly affected his playing time and effectiveness. Before these injuries, Walker had started the season strong, recording 2.5 sacks in the first three games.
