Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell both had great games as the Indiana Fever defeated the Toronto Tempo 101-95 on Tuesday.
Clark had 24 points, three rebounds and seven assists, while Mitchell was the top scorer on either team with 29 points.
The duo are averaging 46 points per game this season, helping the Fever to a 24-12 record, with six consecutive wins.
Former WNBA All-Star Chiney Ogwumike has now explained how Clark and Mitchell are making history with their performances.

Even non-basketball fans know all about Clark’s greatness, but her tandem with Mitchell makes the Indiana Fever a powerhouse.
“When it comes down to one word, when you think of Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, it should be ‘historic’ because they are putting up historic numbers together,” Ogwumike said.
“This is the hottest offense the WNBA has ever seen, and it starts and ends with their backcourt because they put together complete games.
“Kelsey Mitchell had 29 [points] in three quarters; she overheated, which is wild. And Caitlin Clark had 34 [points] and seven [assists].
“To me, it’s their synergy. Caitlin is so good at reading defenses and knocking down her signature logo three but also finding her teammates in ways that are amounting to career-highs and tremendous production.
“Of course, Kelsey Mitchell is on the ultimate heat check. They have every answer to what the defenses have thrown at them. I think we should just stop and appreciate this because this is truly historic.”
Although Clark and Mitchell are already a fantastic duo, their next objective should be playoff success.
If they can lead the Indiana Fever to their first championship in over a decade, they will immediately become WNBA legends.
