The Tulane Green Wave baseball program is gearing up for a comeback 2027 campaign, and that started on Wednesday with the introduction of 21 new Sluggerbirds.
Four incoming freshmen and 17 transfers will make their debut in Olive Green and Sky Blue next season. The majority of transfers are coming to Uptown from the junior college level, but there are four Division I newcomers as well. As a whole, the group is nearly evenly split between pitchers and position players.
"First and foremost, I would like to thank our staff for the diligent work they put in with this class," head coach Jay Uhlman said. "It is a positive step in re-establishing the traditional blueprint of roster building with foundational pieces from the high school and junior college ranks while using the portal to pick up quality pieces that have collegiate experience. We are excited to welcome this class to our proud tradition and assist them in creating their own."

Tulane will look to bounce back from a tough 2026 season in which it finished the season with a 25-31 record and completely missed out on the American Conference Tournament. Though the offseason left plenty of roster holes to fill, many of these newcomers have the potential to get the Green Wave back on track next year.
