Two-A-Days 2026: Stanton Mustangs

SIOUX CITY, IA (KCAU) - Next team up for Two-A-Days is the Stanton Mustangs, who didn't start winning until week five last season but still punched themselves a ticket to the playoffs!

In the playoffs, the Mustangs made it to the second round, where their 2025 campaign was ended at the hands of Hemingford.

They do return quarterback Packer Hogrefe along with 50% of the starting offense from last year.

Finishing the last six games with four wins, the Stangs are hoping to keep the momentum up and get the road to the 2026 postseason on a roll!

"We just really needed to work on being ready to go at the start of the year. I mean 0-4 isn't a really great start, so hopefully we can go 4-0. That is obviously ideal. So being ready to go when the season starts is what we have been working on," explained senior fullback Logan Tiedtke.

The first game for the Mustangs is August 28th at home as they host the David City Scouts!
