UFC 330 results: Charles Johnson hits insanely rare Scottish twister submission

The Ultimate Fighting Championship made its highly anticipated return to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night, with UFC 330 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena.

UFC 330 is headlined by two championship bouts, but the prelims set the tone for an exciting night.

In the early prelims, Charles Johnson faced off against Eduardo Chapolin in a catchweight 130-pound fight. In the third round, the fight came to a shocking, unpredictable end.

Johnson was able to walk away victorious after locking in the ultra rare Scottish twister in Round 3, forcing Chapolin, who filled in on a few days notice, to tap. The finish instantly went viral on social media.

With the win, the 35-year-old Johnson advances to 20-9 overall, and is 3-2 in his last five fights.

After the bout, Johnson dedicated the fight to late UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento, who died from a heart attack in early August. Johnson was originally scheduled to fight Nascimento’s teammate, Jose Ochoa, at UFC 330.
