USC’s Insane New ‘Beer Sword’ Could Become College Football’s Next Craze

USC debuted its latest concession stand item, which could take over the College Football landscape: the Trojan Beer Sword.

The item is meant to consume its namesake, letting fans pour their beer of choice into the top and fill it up.

It has a red plastic handle with a vertical sword grip, while the “blade” is a clear plastic tube that looks quite long and features the infamous USC logo.

Rather than the top of the sword being round, it is shaved off to be quite pointy, allowing the drinker to put their mouth on the tip and tilt it up for easy consumption.

The sword was only available at one beer stand at the Coliseum, and it wasn’t quite ready for prime time yet, but attendance was relatively low for USC’s home opener given the expected heat.

In the heart of the football season, the sword should be a hot seller, but it will cost fans a pretty penny to get their hands on it.

According to the California Post, a customer was charged $31.83 for her beer sword.

USC also has a commemorative popcorn bucket in its concession offerings for the season, a USC-themed mini-cooler that holds cocktails, and a carne asada fries drum bucket.

USC has a ton of marquee home games in 2026, including Ohio State, Washington, and Oregon, three games that will decide the fate of their season and how their possible postseason push will go.

USC won 42-26 at home in the Coliseum. The game showed the high potential of this year’s USC team and some of the roster’s rough spots, including bench depth and freshman growing pains.

Still, it was certainly not a boring game, and the Trojans should give many of the SoCal faithful plenty to cheer about on the field.
