Washington Commander News: Dorance Armstrong suspended for 1 game

The NFL announced that Washington Commanders DE Dorance Armstrong has been suspended for 1 game for violating the personal conduct policy. Armstrong is recovering from a torn ACL, and was placed on the active/PUP list before the start of training camp last month. The announcement did not state what rule Armstrong violated to receive a suspension. Armstrong has been at practice, but is still sidelined and his availability for the season opener in Philadelphia against the Eagles wasn’t guaranteed.

The suspension officially starts on August 30th and he’s eligible to eligible for reinstatement on Monday, September 14th. He will be eligible to participate in all preseason activities, including games, but he’s still on the PUP list and has not been cleared to return to play.
