Seattle Seahawks undrafted free agent wide receiver Rashad Rochelle just broke loose for the team’s most explosive play of the night, a 52-yard punt return, to put the team in the red zone and primed to score at the end of the third quarter.

— Seattle Seahawks (@Seahawks) August 16, 2026Rochelle originally participated in Carolina Panthers rookie minicamp, then signed with the Seahawks on May 14th. He originally went to Syracuse and then graduated from Indiana State. It’s hard enought to make it as an undrafted player, but to make it out of Division II, you need to do something like that. Safe to say, anyone watching closely will know his name now.
His Indiana State highlights show you exactly what his best tools are- speed, and more speed. He used it to take good angles on the return just now, and the fact he’s even getting an opportunity now ahead of other options is encouraging for his prospects of appearing in the regular season this year.
Unfortunately, the Seahawks were blown up on 4th down from the Dallas 6-yard line later that drive, and the score remains 17-7, so they’re still looking for their first score since the opening drive of the game
