New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams started off the scoring early for the team in Thursday's preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.
He blew past a defender and connected with quarterback Tommy DeVito on a 45-yard touchdown reception. The reception tied the game at seven following the extra point.
This was Williams' third touchdown catch of the preseason, continuing what has been a stellar three weeks for the second-year wide receiver. The touchdown concluded a drive that took six plays, 76 yards, and 3:19 off the clock. It came in a game where the Patriots struggled defensively right out of the gate.
So seeing some early fireworks from their No. 2 quarterback was a welcome sight.

Normally, preseason games are not full of action, especially the final game. However, Thursday night’s game bucked that trend in a major way in the first quarter.
