United States wonderkid Cavan Sullivan was shown a red card in the Philadelphia Union’s 2-2 draw against Inter Miami.
The 16-year-old midfielder is often described as the USA’s top prospect since the emergence of AC Milan star Christian Pulisic.
Following the USMNT’s disappointing World Cup exit, many fans have pinned their hopes on Sullivan starting at the 2030 World Cup.
He has largely impressed in his 18 MLS appearances this season and has already agreed to join Manchester City in the future.
However, Sullivan is known to have a short temper, which resulted in him being sent off after a heated exchange against Inter Miami.

Quinn went down in the penalty area and was hoping for a penalty before Miami defender Ian Fray stepped over him.
Quinn immediately stood up and pushed Fray to the floor, which started a scuffle between several players on both teams.
Cavan rushed to defend his brother and was halted by Miami midfielder Yannick Bright, as the pair grappled with each other.
The referee showed Quinn a yellow card for starting the incident before sending off both Cavan and Bright for their fight.
The red cards appeared to be harsh decisions as their altercation only lasted a few seconds and did not look dangerous.
However, the referee’s decision is final and neither player will participate in their team’s next MLS matches this weekend.
