For the second time this season, the Houston Texans have scored a touchdown on their opening drive.

On Houston’s first drive of the preseason with their starters going against the Las Vegas Raiders, the Texans capped off a 10-play, 69-yard drive with a 20-yard rushing touchdown from running back Woody Marks.  Marks had four total attempts for 37 yards on the drive.

Marks has been a bright spot in the Texans' run game through the early stages of training camp. Not only has Houston be using him in the rushing attack for speed run, but he's also been arguably the Texans' second-best recieving threat.

"Woody has shown confidence back since OTAs. Seeing him running the football, looking faster, quicker, but also in the passing game, excelling," Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said earlier this week. "He is very defined at the top of his routes, which is cool to see. He's a tough cover because he's so quick. He can beat you deep and also beat you underneath as well. He's done a really great job."

Marks finished with 37 yards on four carries. Quarterback C.J. Stroud also was promising, converting three first downs and going 4-of-6 for 27 yards.
