Aug. 20—ARCOLA — Charlie Watson recorded a nine-hole score of 38 and Carter Keeley chipped in a 39 to guide the Unity boys' golf team (159) past Arcola/Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond (162) and Paris (195) at Kaskaskia Golf Course, with medalist Kaden Hohlbauch leading Arcola/ALAH with a 37.
ARCOLA — Jillian Marner recorded a nine-hole score of 45 to earn medalist honors and help Arcola/Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond past Unity in a dual match at Kaskaskia Golf Course, with Olivia Gisinger adding a 46 and Megan Miller chipping in a 48 to help the winning cause. Ellery Merkle led Unity with a 57.
BLOOMINGTON — The Champaign Central boys' golf team shot a collective 294 to place fourth in the 20-team Mia Memorial Classic at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course, with Normal U-High (286), Mundelein (292) and Washington (292) topping the leaderboard. Jeremy McCoy and John Timmons led the Maroons by recording 73s in 18 holes of play.
DANVILLE — The St. Joseph-Ogden boys' golf team bested Oakwood 189-224 in a nine-hole dual match at Harrison Park Golf Course, with medalist Garrett Loschen turning in a 41 to help the winning cause.
MOWEAQUA — The Tuscola boys' golf team carded a collective 165 to dispatch Meridian (181), Villa Grove (186) and Central A&M/Okaw Valley (223) at Moweaqua Golf Course, with Evan Englehardt's 40, Lawson Kurtz' 42 and scores of 42 from Nixon Steinert and Lane McCall helping the winning cause. Meridian's Wyatt Martin carded a 36 to earn medalist honors.
MOWEAQUA — The Central A&M girls' golf team outlasted Villa Grove in a 207-213 nine-hole dual match at Moweaqua Golf Course, with Villa Grove's Riayn Cisna earning medalist honors with a 44 and teammates Macy Mendoza and Ainsley Arthur each recording scores of 54.
