The clock is ticking towards deadline day as Premier League teams race to get deals done. It's been another summer of massive spending from Premier League clubs and there's still plenty of business to be concluded before the window slams shut.

There has been more than £2.5bn spent by English clubs alone this summer, with multiple £100m+ deals, includingChelsea's £117m capture of Morgan Rogers, and Elliot Anderson's £116m transfer to Manchester City.

Expect that total to keep increasing right until the final seconds of the window, as clubs scramble for signings.

When does the summer transfer window shut for Premier League clubs?

The transfer window for Premier League clubs will shut on Tuesday 1st September 2026. Clubs have until 11pm BST on deadline day to submit the required paperwork to concludetransfers.

When does the transfer window close in Europe?

The transfer windows in La Liga and Serie A also shut on September 1st, though with different timings. Spain's window is aligned with the Premier League, though the window shuts earlier in Italy, with an 8pm deadline.

Germany's transfer window closes a day earlier. Bundesliga clubs can complete transfers until August 31 at 7pm.

When is the winter transfer window?

Premier League clubs can restart transfer business from January 1st 2027. The window will remain open exactly a month, closing at 11pm on February 1st.
