Chargers center Tyler Biadasz was ranked as one of the better players at his position heading into the 2026 season.
According to Pro Football Focus, Biadasz ranks as the ninth-best center ahead of the season.
"Biadasz didn’t spend long on the open market following his surprise release in February before the Chargers scooped him up to solidify one of their biggest offseason needs," Mason Cameron of PFF wrote.
"New offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel knows the value of stability on the interior, and Biadasz fits that bill. While he isn’t the most dynamic blocker, Biadasz continues to raise his upside after posting the highest overall PFF grade (70.8) of his career in 2025."
Cardinals' Hjalte Froholdt, Bills' Connor McGovern and Saints' Erik McCoy all rank above Biadasz.
Biadasz will take over as the Chargers' starting center in 2026, joining an interior offensive line that underwent a significant overhaul this offseason.
The Chargers signed Biadasz to a three-year, $30 million contract shortly after the Commanders cut him. It was a cost-cutting move by the Commanders, and Biadasz quickly found a new home in Los Angeles.
Biadasz comes into Los Angeles as an established player, earning a Pro Bowl nod in 2022 as a member of the Cowboys. The 28-year-old is set to provide some stability and protection for Justin Herbert, as well as anchor the offensive line and act as a veteran presence alongside Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt, who handle the tackle positions.
As for the other spots among the interior of the offensive line, the Chargers signed Cole Strange, who is set to take over the right guard spot.
The Chargers' starting left guard spot is still up in the air, as five players are currently duking it out.
