2027 quarterback prospect Derrick Baker committed to Tennessee on Feb. 11. He committed to the Vols over scholarship offers from Florida State, Indiana, Ohio State and Auburn.

The future Vol will kick off his 2026 football season on Friday with Milton High School in Milton, Georgia. The Eagles will host North Cobb High School (Kennesaw, Georgia).

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EDT at Eagles Nest.

Tennessee has 19 commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, athlete Jaden Butler, wide receiver KeSean Bowman, defensive back Carter Jamison and defensive back Brandon Leavell, tight end Malik Howard, defensive lineman Christian Mays, cornerback Dylan Haley, linebacker Kenneth Simon II, kicker Ford Fehling, long snapper Sam McKeown, offensive tackle Q’Mari Hudson, athlete Dayon Cooper, safety Marcus Jones, offensive tackle Niko Kampas, running back David Gabriel Georges, running back Asa Barnes and Baker.
