When it comes to the 2026-27 Kentucky Basketball roster, we pretty much know who the heavy-hitters are.
Milan Momcilovic will challenge to be the sport’s best 3-point shooter yet again, while other names like Malachi Moreno, Zoom Diallo, Alex Wilkins, and Kam Williams (if healthy) also have the potential to make a major impact next season.
So, we want you to tell us who the most pleasant surprise will be, namely among players with uncertain roles who could struggle to earn minutes.
Freshman guard Mason Williams has been the talk of the summer, despite not even being a top-100 recruit in the class of 2026.
Washington State transfer guard Jerone Morton finished the summer as Kentucky’s leaderboard winner and could provide valuable minutes at both the point and shooting guard spots.
Redshirt freshman Braydon Hawthorne didn’t play last year, but the former top-50 recruit clearly has some serious talent and has even been compared to UK legend Tayshaun Prince.
Will this be the year that junior forward Trent Noah finds a consistent role after only showing brief flashes thus far into his college career?
What about Reece Potter? The redshirt junior is the only other healthy center on the roster behind Moreno after Franck Kepnang missed all of summer workouts and has been injury-riddled throughout his career, so there’s a very real path for Potter to play significant minutes this year.
Let us know who you think will be the best surprise for next season!
