The Cleveland Browns have named quarterback Deshaun Watson their starter for the season opener, but don't discount quarterback Shedeur Sanders playing this season at some point.
The team reportedly went with Watson instead of Sanders because of his experience, but it's still very possible that Sanders starts during the season if Watson falters out of the gate.
The Browns open the season on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 13 before playing in a road battle against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 20.

The team's home opener is not until Sept. 27 against the Carolina Panthers. It's hypothetically possible that, if Watson struggles in the first two games, Cleveland turns to Sanders for the first home game of the season.
Obviously, if Watson plays well, he will keep the job. However, if he doesn't play well, the team could very easily turn to Sanders to see what he's got at this point in his development.
What about Week 5?Yes, the team could also look to the road stand against the New York Jets as a possible time to swap out quarterbacks.
