STATE COLLEGE, PA(WBRE/WYOU)— The Williamsport Crosscutters can clinch the second half season title with a win over State College, or a loss by the Aberdeen IronBirds. The Crosscutters improved to 27-17 for the second half on Sunday thanks to a 5-1 win over State College.
The Cutters are now 1.5 games ahead of Aberdeen for the top spot in the MLB Draft League standings with just two games remaining. The Crosscutters play the State College Spikes once at home, and once on the road to wrap up the 2026 season. The IronBirds are home for the last two games of the year, hosting the Trenton Thunder.
The Crosscutters already have clinched the first half, and a spot in the MLB Draft League Championship Game. The title game is on Wednesday, September 2nd at Bowman Field.
