Wisconsin volleyball will be tested early vs. four top 10 opponents

There's no time to get accumulated to the new season as the Wisconsin Badgers are projected to face four top 10 teams in their first four matches.

This news should come as no surprise knowing the teams on their schedule included Kentucky, Louisville, Stanford, and Pittsburgh.

Wisconsin will begin the year in Milwaukee, WI, at the Fiserv Forum for the AVCA First Serve. They're scheduled to play two matches in back-to-back days against No. 3 Kentucky and No. 7 Louisville.

For what it's worth, they won't even have a full 24 hours of rest in-between those matches.

Then, if that wasn't a difficult enough start to the year, they'll head to Pittsburgh, PA, six days later to take on No. 5 Stanford and No. 4 Pittsburgh.

Not only are the Badgers playing four top 10 teams, but all four are ranked No. 7 or higher.

Of course, that doesn't even include No. 1 Nebraska, a team they're scheduled to face in Lincoln on October 10.

At the very least, Wisconsin enters the year with a strong No. 6 ranking; it's just a matter of how long they stay in the top 10, or how quickly they move up the ladder.
