This week’s episode of WWE Raw in Ottawa, Canada didn’t feature reigning World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
The OTC was absent, but members of The Bloodline were in action. The Usos were in a match in the main event against LA Knight and Solo Sikoa.
During the show, WWE announced that Reigns will be returning to Raw next week in Cleveland, Ohio. He is going to be present for the final of the World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender’s Tournament.

According to Rick Ucchino of Sports Illustrated, WWE will tape next week’s episode of Raw this Friday in Cleveland.
The company is giving their roster a week off before embarking on a rigorous Latin America tour after Sunday Night’s Main Event, as per Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp.
Roman Reigns to Face Penta or Rey Fenix on September 14GettyRoman Reigns is introduced before his match against CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship during WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium on April 19, 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
On tonight’s episode of Raw, WWE held the semifinals of the World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender’s Tournament.
Rey Fenix outlasted Dragon Lee in a high-flying and hard-hitting match to advance to the final. He will face his brother Penta, who defeated La Park in the other semifinal match.
Next week’s match is going to be huge since it features the Lucha Bros. Penta and Fenix are regarded as one of the best tag teams of their generation, but they are also great singles stars.
With Roman Reigns in attendance and the stakes involved, Penta vs. Fenix gets elevated even more. The winner will challenge The Tribal Chief for the World Heavyweight Championship on the September 14 episode of Raw inside Arena CDMX in Mexico City.
What Happened on WWE Raw in Roman Reigns’ Absence?LA Knight and Solo Sikoa opened this week’s show, and they addressed what happened last week with The Bloodline. The Usos came out to confront their rivals and challenged them to a tag team match later that night, which Knight and Sikoa accepted.
Backstage, Jey and Jimmy Uso told Jacob Fatu that his services aren’t needed in their tag team match. Fatu, who continues to look frustrated, had no choice but to obey since Reigns made The Usos captains of The Bloodline.
In the main event, Royce Keys made his return and attacked everyone along with Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of Out The Mud. Keys was taken out by Fatu weeks ago, but it seems like he’s going after everyone, including Knight and Solo.
OTM put Jimmy through the announce table, while Keys hit Solo, Jey and Knight with the steel steps to end the show.
Keys and OTM make things more interesting, mainly due to the dynamic of Solo and Knight being babyfaces and The Bloodline acting like heels. It won’t be surprising if Fatu finally gets involved as soon as Reigns allows him to.
