(WJHL) -- It was a busy night on the high school volleyball and soccer pitch Tuesday night in both states.
On the volleyball court, Tennessee High was hosting Daniel Boone, and the Lady Vikings took down Daniel Boone 25-21, 25-13, 21-25, 25-15 in a Big East Conference match Tuesday night at Viking Hall. Zoey Phillips set a career high for the second night in a row with 16 kills and also picked up 11 digs with three aces. Libby Boyles added nine kills and three blocks, and Karah Smith slammed eight kills with two blocks and 16 digs. Piper Smith passed out 17 assists with three aces and Emma Jones added 11 assists. Emily Curtin contributed 15 digs.
In Southwest Virginia, John Battle entertained Virginia High and the Trojans pulled the sweep by winning 3-0.
On the pitch, Dobyns-Bennett was at Stone Castle to face Tennessee High. This game would finish tied at 1-1, and Dobyns-Bennett went on to win on PK's, while the Sullivan East Lady Patriots defeated David Crockett on the pitch 2-1. Reagan McCroskey and Cadence Cross scored goals for the Patriots.
