A.J. Brown burns entire defense for 70-yard touchdown in viral video

The biggest play from Monday's practice was something the New England Patriots are hoping to see often throughout the 2026 season.

Quarterback Drake Maye dropped back in the pocket and uncorked a beautiful 70-yardish touchdown throw with seemingly little effort behind it. Some players have arm talent for days, and Maye has a cannon that would make Rocket Raccoon salivate.

The throw was aimed at three-time All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown, who had left the entire secondary in the dust. He hauled in the pass and waltzed into the end zone for the score. The entire operation looked so easy that it was scary.

There was a time when the Patriots would have given anything to have one receiver capable of taking the top off the defense. Now, they have multiple players with that ability, including one of the best in the world at it with Brown.

It looked Tom Brady and Randy Moss-like.

And no, that isn't a direct comparison with the greatest quarterback of all time and quite possibly the greatest receiver who ever lived. It doesn't need to be.

Anything close is terrifying enough.
