Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins is attracting interest from Saudi Pro League (SPL) club Al-Hilal.
According to The Athletic, the Saudi giants are long-time admirers of Watkins and could try to sign him this summer.
Villa are not looking to sell, as he is set to feature in manager Unai Emery’s plans this season.
The experienced striker scored 21 goals in 55 appearances last season, helping them to win the Europa League title.
He has yet to feature for the club this summer, having been on vacation following the FIFA World Cup.
Emery is unwilling to lose any more of his key players. Youri Tielemans, Morgan Rogers and Lucas Digne have left the club this summer.
Watkins is one of the most experienced players in the squad and the most reliable striker on Villa’s books.
Tammy Abraham has failed to impress since his arrival at the club, while teenager Brian Madjo is still raw and currently injured.
Al-Hilal may not be deterred by Aston Villa’s stance and could make a huge offer for Watkins before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.
Villa may consider Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as an option if Watkins leaves. The Senegal international is very familiar with Emery from their time together at Villarreal.
