Under head coach Dawn Staley, her scoring average dropped significantly from 25.2 points per game to 14.1. Consequently, her draft stock suffered, and she was selected 20th overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in April. Unfortunately, after just ten games, she was waived on July 6.
Fortunately for Latson, the Aces signed her two days later. Hammon acknowledged that this performance was significant, as it came during Latson's first opportunity for substantial playing time.
