Ben Johnson: Kyler Gordon is still rehabbing, nothing to add right now

Bears cornerback Kyler Gordon's inability to get healthy has been a frustration in Chicago, and Bears coach Ben Johnson sounded frustrated when reporters asked him for an update.

Johnson gave terse answers to four questions about Gordon and sounded like he didn't much want to talk about him.

Asked to provide an update, Johnson said, "There's nothing to add right now."

Asked if he has seen Gordon, Johnson said, "Yeah, I see him in the building."

Asked if Gordon is progressing, Johnson said, "Yep, there's a plan and he's working toward that plan."

Asked what gordon is doing right now, Johnson said, "He's rehabbing."

Johnson usually engages much more than that with reporters' questions, but on the topic of Gordon, it was clear that he wanted to move on.

Last year Gordon signed a three-year, $40 million contract extension with the Bears, and then played only three games while he struggled with groin, hamstring and calf injuries. He is currently on the physically unable to perform list. At this point it's anyone's guess when Gordon will be back on the field.
