Brighton & Hove Albion has made significant moves as the transfer deadline approached, securing the services of Nigerian winger Femi Azeez from Millwall and Spanish midfielder Chema Andres from Stuttgart. These acquisitions are seen as strategic additions to bolster the squad ahead of the upcoming season.

The deal for Azeez is reported to be worth £12.5 million, with potential add-ons that could increase the total to over £15 million. Last season, Azeez had an impressive campaign with Millwall, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in 37 appearances. His standout performances earned him a spot in the PFA Championship Team of the Year, highlighting his status as one of the league's most promising talents.

Mike Cave, Brighton's sporting director, expressed enthusiasm about Azeez's arrival, stating, "He arrives off the back of an excellent season with Millwall, having played a key role for them as they finished in the playoffs. He was one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Championship, and we’re delighted to have finally agreed his transfer, and we now look forward to working with him." This sentiment reflects Brighton's commitment to enhancing their attacking options as they aim for a successful campaign.

In addition to Azeez, Brighton has also signed Chema Andres for a fee of £15.5 million. Andres, who made 41 appearances for Stuttgart last season, joined the German club from Real Madrid in 2025. He rose through the ranks of Real Madrid's youth academy and made his La Liga debut in January 2025, showcasing his skills at a prestigious club before helping Stuttgart qualify for the Champions League during his tenure.

Cave praised Andres's background, noting, "He has an excellent pedigree having come through at Real Madrid; he followed that with a very good season with Stuttgart last season. We had been aware of Chema's potential for some time. We are delighted to welcome him to the club, and look forward to working with him." This acquisition is expected to strengthen Brighton's midfield, providing depth and quality to their squad.

Both signings come at a crucial time as Brighton prepares for the challenges ahead in the Premier League. With these new additions, the Seagulls aim to build on their previous season's performance and push for a higher finish in the league. The club's proactive approach in the transfer market reflects their ambition to compete at the highest level and develop a squad capable of achieving their goals.
