The Denver Broncos have added a Super Bowl champion to their defense.
The Broncos officially signed safety Taylor Rapp on Thursday, according to the NFL's transaction wire. Rapp (6-0, 208 pounds) spent the first four years of his career with the Los Angeles Rams, starting all 17 games in their Super Bowl-winning season in 2021. Rapp totaled 94 tackles, six pass breakups, four interceptions and 1.5 sacks that season.
More recently, Rapp started the first six games of the 2025 season with the Buffalo Bills before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Rapp has since recovered, and he will now be the favorite to serve as Denver's third-choice safety behind starters Brandon Jones and Talanoa Hufunga in 2026.
To make room for Rapp on the 91-man offseason roster, Denver designated linebacker Levelle Bailey (broken leg) as waived/injured. If he clears waivers as expected, Bailey will revert to season-ending injured reserve.
