The Cleveland Browns are heading into the 2026 season with a big question mark at the quarterback position and plenty of other spots, but it does appear that some positions are going to be very promising.

One of those positions is the wide receiver room, with KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, a pair of rookies taken inside the top-40 of the 2026 NFL Draft, showing out during training camp and the preseason.

That's opened the door for the Browns to trade from their WR depth. Moe Moton of Bleacher Report projects that third-round pick Cedric Tillman has an 80% chance of being traded, as this WR room is in good shape even without him.

Browns get 80% trade odds for Cedric Tillman

"The Browns have a lead veteran receiver and high-upside young talent behind him on the depth chart, which leaves little room for Tillman to contribute on a week-to-week basis," Moton writes. "Trade probability meter: 8."

Cleveland has Jerry Jeudy, Denzel Boston, and KC Concepcion in the starting offense in three wide-receiver sets. Tillman is likely the fourth WR at best; he might even be No. 5, with Isaiah Bond getting plenty of buzz.

In such a situation, it would hardly be a surprise for the Browns to trade him away. Tillman, the 2023 third-round pick, is a free agent after this season.

Instead of losing him in the offseason for nothing, trading him, even for a late-round pick, would be worth it for Cleveland.

Considering they have a lot of young receivers to rely on in Todd Monken's offense, trading Tillman to a wide receiver-needy team, like the Houston Texans or New Orleans Saints, would make a lot of sense.

They would most likely not get a lot, considering Tillman has 833 yards and five touchdowns in three seasons, including 270 yards and two TDs last season, but the package would be worth it.

Regardless of what kind of return they'd get, a trade would be more worthwhile than keeping him on the roster. Moton projects an 80% chance of a trade, and if the Browns make the right decision, Tillman should be on a new team by Week 1.
