Today is the day that every NFL team must make its final roster cutdowns by 6 p.m. and set its initial 53-man roster.
We are contractually obligated* to remind everyone that the initial 53-man roster is not the final 53-man roster, as teams will continue to sign players through waivers, make adjustments on the practice squads, and various other roster manipulations as they prepare for Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season.
Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry and head coach Todd Monken will be busy today making those key decisions, including how many quarterbacks and wide receivers to keep on the initial roster, along with building out the depth across the roster.
