The Dallas Cowboys are no strangers to making bold moves, and they did that this offseason by bringing in Von Miller on a one-year deal.

While it might be the end of Miller's career, he's still a very notable addition. But bringing in the future Hall of Famer has done one thing: open the door to a trade from the edge-rusher room.

Bleacher Report's Moe Moton projects that 2024 third-round pick, Marist Liufau, will have a 90% chance of being traded after Miller's signing, as it's now a very deep group of edge rushers ahead of him, making his roster spot a big question mark.

Marist Liufau has a 9-out-of-10 chance of being traded

"Initially, Liufau had a chance to hang on to a back-end roster spot as he learns a new position, but the Cowboys signed proven pass rusher Von Miller, who led the Washington Commanders with nine sacks last year," Moton writes.

Signing Miller is meant to be a meaningful addition. Add in their other edge rushers, and now Liufau doesn't really have a clear spot on the roster.

Rashan Gary, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Malachi Lawrence, Miller, Sam Williams, and James Houston are all likely ahead of Liufau on the depth chart.

As much as the Cowboys might want to keep Liufau and continue to develop him, he might be the odd-man-out, as keeping seven edge rushers doesn't make a lot of sense.

They could ship him to a rebuilding team like the Miami Dolphins, as Liufau's potential could intrigue a team eyeing some extra upside depth at the edge rusher spot.

But with the Cowboys six options ahead of Liufau, the 87th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft might not have a roster spot in line this season.

There's potential here, and he's someone a team will gladly take a chance on. The Cowboys won't get a third-rounder, but they could get a good Day 3 draft pick in the fourth or fifth round, depending on what team they deal with.

Moton projects a 9-out-of-10 on the trade probability scale, and considering the Miller additions have forced Liufau into the seventh edge-rusher spot, there's little reason to hold onto the high-upside edge if they aren't going to trade Williams or Houston.
