Diamondbacks Respond Loudly to Even Series
Lars Nootbar had his best game at the plate since his trade tot he Diamondbacks, starting things off with a lead-off home run. Kohl Drake struggled as the lineup turned over. Corbin Carroll also went deep. Gerardo Carrillo, Jonathan Loaisiga, Brandyn Garcia, Dennis Santana and Juan Morillo pushed through five innings with no earned runs and only one hit allowed. The result was the Diamondbacks gaining a game on the Padres in the Wild Card race as the Friars lost and the Diamondbacks held on to win.

Giants’ Vitello, Webb Ejected
The San Francisco Giants’ Tony Vitello was unhappy with a fair/foul call and was run for his complaints. Logan Webb didn’t get the memo right away and had to be invited to join his manager in the clubhouse.
