FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – At the beginning of Saturday's preseason game between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles, there was a scary moment on the field during the opening kickoff.

Eagles running back Ja’Quinden Jackson was injured while covering the opening kickoff. He remained down on the ground as the play ended, with his teammates signaling for the training staff to come over almost immediately. They remained with him, calling over more trainers before the ambulance ultimately came out.

He was loaded onto a backboard, and as they were getting ready to lift him into the ambulance, the entire Eagles team came over to check on him. He was then placed in the ambulance and taken off the field.

The Eagles released an update shortly after, saying that he has “strength and movement in all extremities and is being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation."

This story will continue to be updated.
