Everton sign Liverpool defender SilcockEverton have completed the signing of Liverpool defender Hannah Silcock on a permanent deal.

The Toffees announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

It has been reported that Everton have paid an undisclosed fee to Liverpool to secure the player’s services.

The 21-year-old joins Everton off the back of a lengthy spell with Liverpool. She came through The Reds’ academy system before making 22 appearances for the club at senior level.

On the international stage, Silcock has represented England up to Under-23 level.

After joining Everton, Silcock said “I am really excited. As soon as I spoke to Scott [Phelan], I knew this was the place I wanted to be, so I am very happy to be here.

“When we first spoke, I got a really good feeling about the Club and the project. I want to fit into that and kick on this season.

“I cannot wait to play in front of the fans at Goodison Park. It is going to be really special.

“It is a very historical stadium. The fans and the attendances are great there, so I cannot wait to be there and play in front of everyone.”

Silcock is Everton’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
