Borussia Dortmund forward Fábio Silva has refused to rule out leaving the club before the summer transfer window closes.
The Portuguese forward came off the bench to score in Dortmund’s 2-1 DFL-Supercup defeat to Bayern Munich and left his future open in the mixed zone after the game.
“That’s not the most important thing right now. I don’t know what will happen,” Silva told Bild, admitting that he's not fully satisfied with his current role as backup to Serhou Guirassy.
“I feel good. Of course, I want to start more games and help the team. I want to be more important. If I said something else, I’d be lying. I always tell the truth,” he added.
The 24-year-old believes he brings other qualities to the table than a traditional No. 9, pointing to his versatility and creativity.
“Everyone can see what I did last season, in the minutes I played – the assists, the movement. I’m not a normal No. 9, I’m a 9.5.”
Silva has previously been linked with moves to Real Betis and Real Sociedad, while a recent report from Turkey claims that Trabzonspor are also interested in the forward.
