The Green Bay Packers have addressed the legal situation involving Josh Jacobs after new charges were filed against their starting running back Thursday. Wisconsin court records obtained by ESPN show Jacobs is facing two misdemeanor counts, one for battery and another for criminal damage to property. The organization has now issued its response to the development.
The Packers are not planning to part ways with Josh Jacobs at this point. ESPN’s Rob Demovsky obtained a statement from the organization and reported that Green Bay intends to keep the veteran running back on its roster as the situation continues to unfold.
“We are aware of the charges brought against Josh Jacobs. We will continue to cooperate with the NFL as we work through the process. We will have no further comment at this time.” according to the team.
